Practical Information for the 352nd Session of the Governing Body

Useful information about

Governing Body members, as well as representatives of ILO Member States or international organizations wishing to attend the session as observers, are kindly requested to submit their credentials to the Governing Body Secretariat ([email protected] ). They may then collect their badges, as well as those of their delegations, by presenting the authorization form that can be downloaded below, duly completed.

Members of delegations who already hold permanent access badges to the ILO building do not need to collect another badge to attend the Governing Body session. 

Participating at the session

  • Registration in the list of speakers

    You can request the floor by filling out the form on your desk in the room and handing it to Ms Frassier - Secretariat of the Governing Body (right side podium) or by sending an email to [email protected], indicating the name of the speaker/country (if a government), group (if speaking on behalf of a group), item on which you wish to intervene.

  • The time allotment for the discussion of each item on the agenda and the recommended speaking time are indicated in the Tentative order of business.
  • Submitting amendments to draft decisions

Safety, health and well-being

For all emergencies

From an internal, fixed telephone (landline): Call 112 From a mobile phone: dial + 41 22 799 81 12. The ILO actively seeks to safeguard participants’ health and safety during official meetings. Participants are requested to report to the secretariat any situation they believe to be a safety or health hazard.

First aid services

The ILO Medical Service (MEDSERV) provides basic medical advice and immediate medical assistance. MEDSERV is located at the North end of the building, on the R3 level. Opening hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., every weekday.

Smoke-free policy

Smoking is prohibited inside the ILO building. It is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. For the health and well-being of all, you are requested not to smoke close to entrances of the building. Smokers are also requested to dispose their cigarettes buds in the adapted bins and ashtrays.
